The CV-19 pandemic marks one of the most challenging periods for C. Goode Pharmacy since opening its doors in eighteenth century Twickenham. The business often makes more than 30 deliveries a day to those sheltering and most vulnerable in the local community.
Owner Mukesh Shah, who has been running Twickenham’s oldest independent pharmacy since 1989, said; “We have seen a real sense of community spirit during the crisis. Many regular customers and residents have offered to help us in whatever way they can, which shows just how willing everyone has been to pull together. I have a great team of staff who have managed to cope with all of the changes, challenges and extra demands with efficiency and care, and I cannot thank them enough.”
The pharmacy has always gone above and beyond to deliver a wide range of medical advice, and prides itself on its high level of customer service. In store, you’ll find anything from a speedy prescription service to top skin care brands. The pharmacy also offers a free stop-smoking service, some emergency medication without prescription (e.g. treatments for urinary tract infections, ear infections, delaying periods for women, contraception and help for asthma patients). The chemist can also administer travel, shingles, and chickenpox vaccinations.
