Discover Twickenham BID Manager
Discover Twickenham BID (Business Improvement District) was set up as a vehicle to enable the local business community to collaboratively create projects and activities that make Twickenham an even better place to live, work and visit through direct investment.
BIDs exist for a 5-year term, Discover Twickenham BID term is from 2019-2024 and is therefore entering its final year. At the end of the term, all eligible businesses will have the opportunity to vote to have a BID in Twickenham for another 5 year term, this will take place in Autumn 2023.
To help businesses decide how they will vote, Discover Twickenham will create a business plan for the next 5 years. We therefore want to hear from you about your priorities for Twickenham and your business.
If you are a BID levy paying business, please complete the survey to give us your thoughts and feedback.
Thank you for giving us 8 minutes of your time. We truly appreciate it.
Discover Twickenham promotes the town and its businesses through the popular Discover Twickenham website, associated social media channels and partners such as Visit Richmond, Council communications, local press, publications and local influencers.
Our priorities for 2023-24 are based on the overall objectives laid out in the BID’s Business Plan, with an increased focus on cost saving and marketing support to reflect the current demands on businesses. Our four strategic pillars are:
Build on our strong brand to promote and celebrate Twickenham: its businesses, local attractions, cultural diversity, music heritage and history. Organise events and incentives to attract visitors to the town centre.
Act as key partner in the new borough-wide Arts & Ideas Festival.
Regular communications via newsletters and emails to disseminate information and gain feedback
Invest in the town centre to ensure it’s a clean, safe and pleasant place to live, work and shop:

A Business Improvement District (BID) is a not-for-profit organisation. Its main purposes are to:
A BID enables businesses to collectively contribute to activities that enhance the reputation and attractiveness of the area. This encourages footfall, boosts investment from new and existing businesses, supports staff recruitment and retention, and helps add to the wellbeing of everyone living, working and visiting the area. These activities are delivered over and above the services provided by the Council. BIDs are created by and for businesses after a successful ballot. There are over 330 BIDs across the UK. Locally there are BIDs in Richmond, Wimbledon, Kingston and Putney.
Our BID is called Discover Twickenham.
